A Little Tip For Dancers

As a 37 year old former competitive athlete, my knees go snap, crackle, and pop when I dip it low. Protecting them as I explore different styles of dance is very important to me! I've tried everything, from volleyball knee pads to other pole brands, but often times had issues with fit, bunching, or sliding down. Then I found Bee's Knees Knee Pads. Their inclusive sizing with adjustable straps solved all these issues immediately!

I also love that they're washable, and easy to refresh with replacement padding. Did I mention they're easy to get on and off over shoes? They have velcro straps instead of pulling on and off, a pole dancer's dream! Leanr more at the link below and save on your purchase with my code "BEEASTAR"!

Originally debuted as "My Soul" to the song of the same name by Thrice, this act has morphed into the crowd favorite, "Breathing". Built as a vehicle tell my story of survival, this act...

- On A Personal Note - A quarterly newsletter on my life as an artist from Selina Starkillr 2025 was NOT it for me… And yet, here I am, alive and well in 2026. How did it go for you? It’s been a while since we last connected, and so very much has happened. Let’s catch up, shall we? Last year was full of surprises for me, momentous highs and deep, dark lows. I started and ended a business partnership, joined and left a drag house, performed new nerdlesque & burlesque acts, shared my art at...

Selina starkillr's notes on: How Comparative Mindsets Keep Us Stuck Have you ever gotten an idea for an act or performance, only to stop yourself because you “don’t have a good enough costume”? Or maybe you’ve seen others bravely baring it all in burlesque and thought, “Oh, I could never do that.” Is this something that you’ve felt before? know I have. It’s called a comparative mindset, and it can lead to feeling lonely, sad, and contribute to low self esteem. Especially in today’s world of...
